Meet Ace

Ace was surrendered to the shelter after his owner stated he was moving and unable to bring him with. It was clear he hadn't been getting proper care or socialization, urine stained from living in a kennel, and uneasy around new people. He is coming into his own more each day, but can still be a bit timid when he is spending time with one person and another approaches. He has had training, walking well on a leash, and responsive to "down" and "sit", but will need some work on behavioral reactions to certain things. Ace would do wonderfully in a household with one owner who likes to socialize with others. He would have his safe space at home where he can relax, but meet new folks and get used to others being around, learning people aren't bad. Ace has a very sweet personality and is in general a sweet, happy, smiley boy, he's just been wronged before and is unsure about the future.
