Meet Erika

Erika first came to the shelter as a stray and went unclaimed by any owner. She was quickly taken into a foster home to ensure she would do well with the children and other animals in the household before choosing to adopt. While she did wonderful in the home and really enjoyed having multiple kids to play with every day, the family got a bit of unexpected news and decided taking in a puppy at this time wouldn't be a responsible decision. She is a lovely little girl who is full of puppy energy. She loves to pounce and play whenever she gets the opportunity. She seems to have been learning commands in her foster home and is responsive to the basics with the temptation of treats or a toy. Erika would likely do well in a household with other dogs and kids of all ages. There was a cat in the foster home, whom she tried to play with, but the cat wasn't having any of it, so it seems she has potential to go into a home with felines.
