Meet Ezra

His face says, "smile so they love you", but his eyes say, "I've been hurt before and I'm afraid". Sweet, sweet Ezra was called in as a friendly stray wandering around. He didn't have a microchip or tags, and no one came in to claim him during his hold. During his processing he was found to be heartworm positive. He will be getting treatment for that and be on restrictions the next month or so. He's not supposed to come out of his kennel yet, limiting his excitement, but I just couldn't resist that face, I had to spend some time with his. He is such a darling babe; I didn't want to leave! Ezra is clearly out of his element at MCAC, but he's doing his best to stay strong and make friends. He always has a smile on his face, but you can tell he's hiding more behind his eyes. He knows off, sit, and back, but he wanted nothing more than to give kisses and be right on the hip. This 4-year-old deserves a lifetime of snuggles and affection.
