Get to Know Nyla

Nyla is a gorgeous girl who deserves a better life than her past has given her. She was surrendered in the field after wardens were called to an address for dogs outside in poor living conditions. While she is in much better shape than the other dogs, she is still a bit underweight and could stand to gain a few pounds, getting her close to the 40/50 range as opposed to the 35 she is currently at. She is an independent girl most of the time, but this may just be because she hasn't had a lot of human interaction in her past and doesn't know how to interact. After some quality time spent with her, she opens up and lets you know she is willing to become friends, especially if you're offering up ear or jowl rubs. From how it sounds, she has lived outside most of her life, but she still seems to be pretty potty trained, keeping her kennel quite clean as often as she can. She walks great on a leash and is very tempted by treats. Nyla would likely do well in a household with other dogs or older kids.
