Get to Know Patience
Patience was recently surrendered to the shelter after her owner no longer wanted her. They stated she was part of the family, even allowed on the couch, but she tells us differently. Patience is a very timid girl, slow to approach strangers who aren't giving off a very calm, loving vibe. It can take a little time, but once she realizes you aren't there to do her any harm, she comes up and will rest her head right in your lap as if saying she is exhausted and needs a change. She was very unfamiliar with the sofa in the Real-Life Room, frequently checking with staff, seeing if what she was doing was okay. She is very gentle on the leash, staying right at your side, and is so gentle taking treats. Patience needs a loving home that will see her as part of the family and give her the amazing life she deserves. One look in her eyes and you can see the pain she feels, making it almost impossible to leave her. Once familiar, she gives kisses and snuggles close, showing her appreciation of the affection she is receiving.
