Our photo features adoptable Fred. Fred was removed from unsuitable living conditions, living outside with a 25+ pound chain around his neck. Fred came to the shelter with a clearly irritated eye, which resulted in entropion surgery before making the adoption floor. He's got some stitches, but it healing wonderfully, and it even seems to have perked him up, too. He's a wonderfully sweet boy who loves meeting people and making new friends. He gets very excited when he gets to go for a walk with one of his new friends and does fairly well on the leash. He's had some training in his past, sitting nicely for treats and taking them gently. He's lived with multiple other dogs in the past, and pending a successful meet and greet, would do well in a household with another, giving him someone to play with. He seems to be a big fan of toys and gets very excited when he hears a squeaker. Weighing 75 pounds, 4-year-old Fred proves big boys can be gentle too!
