Angel, Todd and Pool Boy
Pool Boy came to the shelter as a stray for the second time. Despite finding out he was impounded, Pool Boy remained unclaimed by his owner and was processed for the adoption floor after his stray hold ended. He had a rough start, but adjusted well and rather quickly to all the new people he was meeting. He likes to go for walks, though he can pull and sway a bit on the leash; he takes correction well and has been improving every day he is worked with. He is extremely motivated by toys and loves fetching tennis balls. He has a very lively personality and will make a great addition to a household.
*Pool Boy was adopted but sadly returned. The adopter was unaware of allergies and Pool Boy's kisses brought it to his attention. We are so sad to see him returned, but like we suspected, they had nothing but amazing things to say about him. He really is the BESTEST BOY. He was even beginning to make friends with their cat.
*Pool Boy went into a foster home for some time but was sadly returned after an altercation with the other dog in the home. It would be best at this time if he could find a home as the only dog or with dog savvy owners who can handle jealousy. A meet and greet would be required with other dogs in the home.
Angel is a loving and playful Pit Bull Terrier, who came to the shelter as a stray, with a heart full of love and a gentle spirit. This beautiful white, spayed female is approximately 3 years old and has been waiting patiently at the Macon County Animal Shelter since December 20, 2024. Angel is ready to bring joy and companionship to a caring family.
Todd is a young and still growing. He's been at the shelter for about 1 month.
