Dee and Duke
Adopted dog gains an older brother to look up to!
We adopted Bailey (now known as Dee) as what we lovingly refer to as a ‘bridge dog’. We adopted our first dog, Duke, 12 years earlier from Macon County Animal Control and Care Center, and we couldn’t imagine our life without him. As he was growing older, we realized we never wanted to be without a dog again. We almost couldn’t bear the thought that one day he would not be with us, so we started a plan to adopt another dog, before he passed on. Enter our beloved, Dee Bears. She was easy going and clearly looked up to Duke. Whatever he did, she followed. Duke was such a great dog and he taught her how to be one too. Duke passed away at age 15 and now Dee Bears is queen of our house!
