All American Dog Birthday Party 2013

Saturday, June 29th, 2013 from 12pm-4pm
Macon County Animal Control & Care Center
2820 East Parkway Drive
Decatur, IL 62526
(1/2 mile south of Caterpillar, off 27th St)

Among the many disadvantages of being a homeless dog, nobody knows when that dog’s actual birthday occurs. So, we have given all of the homeless dogs in the Shelter the birthday of July 4th by hosting and celebrating the “All American Dog Birthday Party”. Complimentary birthday cake and beverages will be served, and you are invited! This year, Cherry Berry and University Dogs will be offering additional food options.

It would be appreciated if you could bring a birthday gift for any of the homeless dogs. Some of the items needed are: Collars (all sizes), leashes, hard rubber toys, dog treats, towels, and wire slicker brushes. The shelter is always in need of blankets to use for the animals as well.

All of the dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens in the Shelter’s adoption program will be available to visit during the birthday party. In celebration of those who have served our country, any veteran of the US Military may adopt, with an approved application, any shelter pet at no cost.

Please come out and celebrate the All American Dog and the wonderful shelter facility that we have in Macon County! This year’s event is sponsored by the Decatur & Macon County Animal Shelter Foundation, Cherry Berry Frozen Yogurt, Kroger, Pepsi Refreshment Services, and University Dogs.
